Trione-Annadel State Park

Forty miles of trails through diverse terrain, including lush redwood forest

In the historic Valley of the Moon, Trione-Annadel State Park is a veritable playground for hikers, runners, mountain bikers and equestrians, with over 40 miles of trails through second-growth redwood forests, oak woodlands, meadows and rolling hills. The varied ecosystems support an array of flora and fauna, making this an alluring destination for spotting both wildlife and wildflowers.

ACTIVITIES: This is a popular mountain biker’s paradise, but there’s plenty of room for hikers, runners and equestrians. The 26-acre manmade Lake Ilsanjo is a good spot for fishing black bass and bluegill (anglers over the age of 16 must have a fishing permit). Look for rare and beautiful local plant and animal species.

FEATURES ACCESSIBLE TO PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES: Two accessible picnic tables, shaded by a tree, near the parking lot at the end of Channel Drive. There’s also an accessible portable restroom nearby.

DOGS: Dogs are not allowed on trails, but they are allowed on leash on Channel Drive only.
