Home to the biggest redwood tree in Oregon
Just a few miles from the California border, Peavine Ridge is the site of one of the only remaining old-growth redwood groves in Oregon. From Highway One, look for signs for the Oregon Redwoods Trail. Interpretive displays teach of the forest’s ecology, the ancient redwoods’ life cycle and the local flora, fauna and fire history.
ACTIVITIES: Enjoy hiking through some of Oregon's only redwood trees.
FEATURES ACCESSIBLE TO PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES: Trail No. 1106 is wheelchair accessible, including the goose pen tree on the trail.
DOGS: Dogs are allowed on leash.

- What To Bring: Layers of clothing. In the rainy season, pack warm hats, scarves, mittens and plenty of thick, fast-drying socks. And don't forget the raincoats and rain pants. Water, snacks a field guide, binoculars.
