Gualala Point Regional Park

Nearly 200 acres of coastal redwood forest, meadows and sandy beaches

Gualala Point Regional Park sits atop coastal bluffs with sweeping Pacific Ocean views, at the northernmost point of the Sonoma Coast. Camp here among the redwoods and next to the Gualala River. Gualala Point Regional Park is open daily from 6:00 a.m. to sunset in summer and 8 a.m. to sunset in winter.

ACTIVITIES: Hike along bluff trails, which are a whale watcher’s dream, and into forests home to resplendent ancient redwoods. Enjoy striking coastal views as you stroll down a wide, sandy beach. Camp in the redwood forest with the sound of waves crashing in the distance.

FEATURES ACCESSIBLE TO PEOPLE WITH DISABILITIES: Many of the trails are either paved or relatively flat. The beach is ADA-accessible by paved path. The campgrounds are wheelchair-accessible.

Amenities & Fees

Day-use fee at Gualala Point Regional Park is $7 per vehicle; $1 per person for vehicles with 10 or more people. Camping and Lodging: Reservations can be made online at SonomaCountyCamping.org or by calling 707-565-2267.


What To Pack

  • Safety: We want visitors to enjoy their experience safely. Simple actions can positively increase your outdoor experience. Such actions include taking water and snacks along with you, staying on designated trails, taking breaks, and letting people know where you are going and approximately what time you're coming back.   • What To Bring: Layers of clothing. In the rainy season, pack warm hats, scarves, mittens and plenty of thick, fast-drying socks. And don't forget the raincoats and rain pants. Water, snacks a field guide, binoculars.
